This Ethiopian Ardi, from the Sidama region, is grown by a collective of small, independent farmers, and processed at the mill of Israel Degfa, with superb attention to detail. It is a uniquely sweet, heirloom variety, notable for its full, distinctive flavor. The Sidama region’s rich soil lends rich nutrients and deep color to its coffee. This particular lot benefits from excellent rainfall in the growing season, and boasts a striking combination of flavor notes, most notably blueberry, peach, jasmine, and citrus, with a sweet, aromatic finish.
