For us here at Pure Coffee Club, exploration is about experiencing the remarkable array of exotic single source coffees available from around the world, one lot at a time. Pure Coffee Club’s “Explorer Series” will be scouring the planet for the most delicious, interesting, and exciting single source coffees available. When you subscribe to this series, every month you will get a different heirloom single source coffee that we have selected specially for this collection. These heirloom coffees generally come in very small lots (“micro lots”), and are available for limited times only. When you subscribe to this series, every month you will get a different heirloom single source coffee that we have selected. Whether they’re from Ethiopia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Hawaii, or Sumatra, each coffee will come with information about the specific variety of beans, where they were grown, how they were roasted, and more. Because these lots are so limited, we can only make them available in 12 oz. bags, and in whole bean format, and only on subscription. (Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time.)

This Congo coffee from the western shore of Lake Kivu is grown by the Muungano cooperative, comprised of over 4,000 smallholder farmers, nearly half of them women. “Muungano” means “togetherness” in Swahili, and the care and dedication with which this coffee is grown and processed is reflected in its smooth, bright, and complex flavor profile. The notes of plum, grapefruit, and dark chocolate create a rich, sweetly tart structure, with a crisp, dry finish.

– Produced entirely from the Bourbon variety of Arabica beans, this unique coffee from the South Kivu offers a distinctively sweet, bright, and complex flavor profile. Notes of plum and grapefruit are complemented by dark chocolate, with a plump, velvety mouth feel.

This Ethiopian Ardi, from the Sidama region, is grown by a collective of small, independent farmers, and processed at the mill of Israel Degfa, with superb attention to detail. It is a uniquely sweet, heirloom variety, notable for its full, distinctive flavor. The Sidama region’s rich soil lends rich nutrients and deep color to its coffee. This particular lot benefits from excellent rainfall in the growing season, and boasts a striking combination of flavor notes, most notably blueberry, peach, jasmine, and citrus, with a sweet, aromatic finish.

Coffee is awesome. I’ve had my share of coffee and of varying awesomeness. Waking up and starting my day with a fresh ground and pressed cup of any of the Pure Coffee Club roasts, is a beautiful experience. I am totally in love with PURE COFFEE CLUB. This is by far THE best coffee I have ever tasted. It is so smooth, robust, and full of flavor. It is absolutely delicious! I have only tried the house blend, but, I can truly say that I can’t wait to try the other two. The coolest part is that it gets delivered to my home! I’m excited for the launch of the new Pure Coffee Club. I’ve sampled three of the beans and the Athletic blend stood out as my favorite. Maybe because I’m quite athletic?!
